Jesus is the Son of God who came down from heaven and became one of us, a human being, (Phil. 2:6 – 11). He lived a sinless life so He could take our place in paying the penalty of sin. We all have sinned, (Romans 3:23), and the penalty of sin is death, (Romans 6:23) separation from God forever in a place called hell.

Jesus loves us all so much that He gave His life on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins, all of them, past, present & future, (John 3:16). He was the only human that could do it because He had no sin of His own.

The substitutionary death of Jesus Christ on the cross has paid the penalty of our sin in full. But because He was not just human but also God, He defeated death and rose from the grave and now sits at the right hand of the Throne of God and offers eternal life to all who will put their trust in Him.

Not only did He pay for the penalty of our sin but He also adopted us, (all those who believe) into His glorious family, we become children of God, (Galatians 3:26)!

The very moment you put your trust in Jesus you are born again into His family and He gives you the Holy Spirit, (Eph. 1:13) who will guide you into all truth, comfort you and give you power to live a holy life.

You can pray to God right now, just say…..

“Jesus, I know I’m a sinner, but if you love me so much that you died for me on the cross to pay for my sins, I want to put my faith and trust in you. Thank you for giving me eternal life. Come into my life and help me to become the person you want me to be.”
